SCHOOL UNION 76-Deer Isle-Stonington, Brooklin and Sedgwick Deer Isle Stonington Elementary School and Sedgwick School We are seeking an immersion SLPA to work at SU76. A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provides supportive services for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in assessing, screening, and treating patients or students with communication, speech, language, and hearing disorders. $25-32 per hour Core Responsibilities Therapy Implementation: Run individual or group therapy sessions following treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP. Screenings & Data: Conduct speech and language screenings (without interpretation) and track patient progress and data. Preparation & Maintenance: Create instructional therapy materials, set up treatment rooms, and maintain equipment. Collaboration: Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP and assist with family or caregiver education. Administrative Tasks: Maintain medical records, handle scheduling, and manage office inventory. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7] Key Requirements & Qualifications Education: Typically requires an associate's degree or completion of an accredited SLPA training program. Licensure/Certification: Must hold a valid state license or certification where required. Supervision: Must work under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed, certified Speech-Language Pathologist.
